story
As a Pittsburgh native, I was introduced to yoga in 2007 while playing high school lacrosse. I continued to practice when I moved to New York City in 2009 to attend NYU. Upon graduation in 2014, I completed a 200-hour RYA Vinyasa teacher training with Yoga to the People. While there I was introduced to the Traditional Hot Yoga (also know as Bikram) Method which I found to be an extremely powerful mental and physical practice. In 2017 I completed a 500-hour training OHYA training with Yoga Factory in this 26+2 series. In 2019 I began studying with David Kyle and his Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa School and in 2020 completed Level 2 Rocket Vinyasa training. In addition to Rocket Vinyasa, I have continued to study the Ashtanga Yoga System with Yalla Yoga.
approach
Through the practices of yoga, we’re learn the ability slow down to exist in the spaces between thought. We discover ways to explore our range of motion and energy. Learn to create space that can facilitate change and acceptance. We also learn from these practices to share and spread love to those around us, which potentially inspires them to do the same, imagine where it could go from there π
